t-minus one month

In one month, I will be arriving early morning into San Jose, Costa Rica. I received my confirmation from the school in Grecia yesterday that they received my registration and deposit. I will miss the orientation class on Saturday, because Jon and I are heading to a wedding in Jamaica (darn!). But I know that my friends Karen and Jenna will fill me in.

I just included one little photo from my memories in Costa Rica. This is from when we lived in Sabanilla. This darling little girl was getting ready to go somewhere with her family, and they were begging for her to put on her shoes and she kept saying, "no puuuedooo." As featured in the picture, she managed to get on her shoes.

So, as the term is winding up and the final papers seem ominous and insurmountable, I am forced to remember that I can, "si, se puede".

I also thought that I'd share a little excerpt my supervisor where I work shared with us earlier this week. It was a great reminder that we are all capable of so much, even if we come from humble beginnings or start off feeling broken, exhausted and incapable. If this man was thought to be a failure to begin with, just imagine what you could possibly do: Gandhi, the failure?
